Daisy Soo Hoo began her official duties as Captain of the Women 18ers
on January 10 with the first meeting of the year, held on ZOOM. The new
Executive Board of Directors consists of Co-Captain, Ann Hamilton, Secretary,
Kathy Hunt and Treasurer, Mary Jean Kidd. Agnes Shin is joining the
board as Social Chair. Each will bring a new and refreshing perspective to
their positions.
Returning Board members are Teddi Swanson, Membership; Laura Kim,
Web and Tech Committee; Claudia Terry, Website; Joyce McCann, Rules;
Robin Moreau, Golf Advisory;Theresa Kim, Handicap; Stella Chan, Open
Day; Toni Snyder, NCGA Ambassador and Janice Davis, Publicity.
The first big event of the year is the Launch the Season Party on February
10. This informal get-together is just as it’s name suggests. Its a great
kick-off to begin the year. Attendees will be informed about East Bay Team
Play by Captain Daisy Soo Hoo; Joyce McCann will cover some rules situations;
Joan Binnings and Lana Yagle will explain Eclectic, Birdies and
Chip-Ins and collect money to participate; and Stella Chan will explain
how to sign up for the fun WGANC Open Days.
All 18ers are encouraged to attend and those who are considering joining
our group are welcome.
