On Thursday, Nov 14, 58 Rossmoor Women’s 18ers turned up to play in the second-to-last ladies day tournament of the 2024 season. The format was a Stableford where, unlike most games, the goal is to accumulate the most points.
There were four flights and the flight winners are as follows:
First flight, first place, Olivia Hsueh with a total of 40 points, the highest score in the entire field; second place, Min Ryoo with 37 points; third place, Theresa Kim with 33 points; fourth place, Sophia Kim with 32 points.
Second flight: first place, Ann Hamilton with 39 points; second place, Laura Kim with 32 points; third place, Elizabeth James with 31 points; fourth place, Pat McSween with 29 points.
Third flight: first place, Jean Wright with 30 points; second place, Irene Gessling also with 30 points; third place, Barbara McKay with 27 points; fourth place, Judith Coleman-Cohen also with 27 points.
Fourth flight: first place, Orene Sanders with 35 points; second place, Anna Kim with 33 points; third place, Yvonne Perkins with 28 points; fourth place, Soonee Kim with 26 points.
Birdies were shot by Hsueh on Holes 2 and 5, McSween on Hole 4, Claudia Terry and Theresa Kim on Hole 13, Sherry Endicott and Sue Yoon on Hole 16.
Chip-ins were shot by McSween on Hole 4, Lee Shaffer on Hole 7, Terry on Hole 13, and Sophia Kim on Hole 18.
