Pat Iacullo – Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club 2022 Man of the Year
At the RMGC’s annual meeting on Monday, November 14, Pat Iacullo was announced as the “Man of the Year.”
Pat was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Pat was an architect in New York for several firms before moving to California in 1980. In California he worked for an international construction company, major architectural firm, and was also self-employed for several years. Pat retired in 2012 and he moved to Rossmoor in 2015.
Pat and his wife Barbara have two children and six grandchildren.
Pat has served the RMGC and the Rossmoor golfing community in many ways. He was a member of the RMGC for three years, serving as Club president in 2019. He is also a member of the Rossmoor Golf Advisory Committee since 2020 and is currently the Committee’s vice chairman.
In 2022 Pat was instrumental in bringing the First Tee Program back to Rossmoor. The First Tee Golf Program provides golfing opportunities for children and young adults ages 8 – 17. This summer Pat, the RMGC, along with the 9rs hosted a day of golf for the First Tee Program on the Creekside Golf Course. The event was a huge success, and it is anticipated that two such events will be held in 2023.
The Rossmoor Golf shop and Mark Heptig are huge supporters of the First Tee Golf Program. Anyone who has used golf equipment, including clubs and golf bags that they are no longer using, please bring them to the pro shop so that Mark can donate them to the First Tee Program.
Ed O’Dea had this to say about Pat. “Pat was of great assistance to me during this year. He has served as our parliamentary guide and also as my consigliere (key advisor to the president). He has made my job easier. Pat is very knowledgeable about the history of golf at Rossmoor.”
Previous winners of this award were Bill Harrick in 2020 and Richard Fuller in 2021.
Congratulations Pat.
