The women 18ers are off to a swinging season. On April 6, 48 players competed in a two-person team competition called Odd-Even. Prior to teeing off, partners agreed whose score would count on even holes and whose would be counted on the odd holes and the two players’ scores, when combined, became their team score. Formats like this are fun if you can handle the pressure when it is your hole and you must play well. Some teams really rose to the challenge such as the team of Janet Choi and Pil Choo, in the First Flight, with the overall best score of 66.
2nd place, First Flight, Soonee Kim and Olivia Hsueh.
3rd place, Jenny Kim and Sara Ko
4th place, Sue Yoon and Jun Chao

Second Flight winners were Anna Kim and Aisoon Hong in first place.
Second place, Del Poirier and Joanne Brennan.
Third place, Jean Carroll and MaryAnn Higgins
Fourth place, Pat Johnson and Teddi Swanson.

Chip-ins were enjoyed by Joan Baggett hole 11 and Janet Choi hole 15.
Birdie shooters were Kay Doyle, hole 2 and Mae Marcotte, hole15

Upcoming events are May 12, a casual Guest Day, and May 5, the sold-out Charity tournament. The casual Guest Day provides an opportunity for women 18er members to invite up to three guests to enjoy The Dollar Ranch at member prices.  This is a great way to get your Invitational partners out to the course and play a fun practice round. The Guest Day will have no tournament or organized activity so women need to make their own tee time through the 18ers registration link and will not need to have their guests’ GHIN numbers. The Rossmoor Round-up Invitational, June 1 and 2, is right around the corner and envelopes can be found in the Pro Shop. Giddy up!
