RMGC hosts Claremont, Moraga and Roundhill Country Clubs
On June 19, the Rossmoor Men’s golf club hosted a field of 96 players on the Dollar Ranch course. Players from Claremont, Moraga and Roundhill joined Rossmoor players to form foursomes in a two better ball format.
Highlight of the event was a Hole-in-One by Bill Keeley (RMGC) on the 14th hole. Bill’s ace propelled his team (Paul Grafft (Moraga), Mike Davis (Roundhill) and Roger Gault (Claremont)) to first place in the first flight with a score of net -15. In second place (flight 1) with a score of net -13 was the team of Michael Kiefer (RMGC), John Mangini, Bruce Tarter and Ronald Egy). In third place (flight 1) with a score of net -13 (lost cardoff) was the team of Dan Rogers (RMGC), John Silverfoote, David Burke and Rick Catterton.
Flight 2 was won by the team of Karl Stinson (RMGC), John Prucha (Roundhill), Scott Fink (Moraga) and Rod Keener (Roundhill) with a great score of net -21. Karl carded the low net round of the event with a net 67. In second place with a score of net -17 was the team of Roger Bass (RMGC), Glenn Gross, Bob Venning and Tony Tarrab. In third place with a score of net -16 was the team of Matthew Dunn (RMGC), Walter Wellsfry, Jack Isola and John Dolby.
RMGC is on the road with events at Berkeley CC (June 26), Richmond CC (June 27) and Blackhawk CC (July 2).
