POST MORTUM ON THE PANDEMIC SCRAMBLE

Well, I don’t mean to be morbid as everyone who played in the Pandemic Scramble had a great time and I thought that the title of the article was funny. There were 115 guys registered and played in the tournament. The nice thing was that we were all able to at least play a tournament on our own course. The opportunity to get together for lunch and socializing will have to wait for another day.

The tournament was a Four Man Scramble. 2 drives were required by each player and the results were determined after appropriate handicapping. There were 3 threesomes and foursomes on the Creekside Course. On the Dollar course there were 3 flights consisting of 7 foursomes in each flight. There was also one group threesomes on the Dollar. Overall, the scores were quite low. As far as the financial rewards, I have not been given the amounts. However, I’m sure that the money collected and lack of cost of the tourney equals some decent payouts. I’m going to share the groups that came in first in each flight. Those who came in 2nd, 3rd etc. are available online at rmgc4manscrambledr.golfgenius.com (the GGID code is swfxkn, then click results).

The Threesome Flight on the Dollar Ranch was won by Darrel Cannon, David Fiore and Mark Linden.
There were Three Flights of Foursomes:
Flight 1 was won by John McDonnell, Rich Scheffer, Tom Snyder and James Soo Hoo.
Flight 2 was won by Dan Gonzalez, Ed Gschwend, Bart Moore and Jim Pingatore
Flight 3 was won by Charles Altieri, John Benshoff, Stephen Blotzer and Scott Graff.
The Threesome Flight on Creekside was won by Joe Sollucci, Jim Bombardier and David Mancini.
The Foursome Flight on Creekside was won by Ron Binder, Ron Dakin, Jack Vollmar and Less Birdsall.

Overall, everyone had a great time. And, it’s only the beginning. There are tournaments planned through October. We hope that all our members will come and join us.
