On Tuesday, Mar 7, nine Rossmoor Women’s 18ers traveled to Discovery Bay Golf Course to play in an Open Day sponsored by the NCGA. Teddi Swanson, Mary Jane Kiefer, Linda Davis, Dee Dunne, Sherry Endicott Claudia Terry, Jayoung Lee, Mae Marcotte and Laura Kim all made the trek to take their chances on a challenging course with large water features on most of the 18 holes and fast greens with very few level pin positions. Other players came from far-ranging cities such as Elk Grove, Modesto, Arnold, Menlo Park, San Mateo, Woodside, Folsom, Petaluma, Richmond, Vallejo, Santa Rosa, but the Rossmoor women were the largest group from any one club. The weather was mostly sunny and temperate, making for a fine day of golf. The format was a Stableford with points earned for net eagles, net birdies, and net pars. The more points acquired, the better one’s standing in the final results. Teddi Swanson tied for second place in her flight and achieved a total of three net pars and three net birdies. Congratulations, Teddi!
