On Thursday, July 25, 58 Rossmoor 18ers participated in the always popular Charm Tournament, a low-net game repeated six times throughout the season. This Charm was the third in the series and Sophia Kim from the first flight won the top spot with a net of 66. Congratulations to Kim for her super low score. She will be in the playoff at the end of the season which will determine which of all six Charm winners gets the ultimate prize which is bestowed at the Holiday Party in December.
Other winners were as follows: Flight 1, low gross winner, Grace Nitta with a score of 87; second low net winner, Agnes Shin with net 68; third low net winner, Jayoung Lee with net 70.
Flight 2, low gross winner, Karyl Toms with a score of 97; first low net winner, Elizabeth James with net 71; second low net winner, Mary Keifer with net 72; third low net winner, Okey Ro with net 74.
Flight 3, low gross winner, Xuemei Reinhart with a score of 106; first low net winner, Anna Kim with net 69; second low net winner, Marsha Jennings with net 70; third low net winner, Nancy Park with net 71.
Flight 4 low gross winner, Joanne Brennan with a score of 111; first low net winner, Denise Pratt with net 72; second low net winner, Pam Phippin with net 74; third low net winner, Lee Shaffer with net 75. Congratulations to all the flight winners.
Birdies were shot by Sophia Kim on hole 2, Barbara Musante on hole 4, Theresa Kim on hole 10, Joanne Kim on holes 4 and 14, Claudia Terry on holes 11 and 13, Jayoung Lee on hole 13, Karla Witte on hole 15, and Bari Mantel and Nitta on hole 18.
Chip-ins were shot by Sophia Kim on hole 2, Teddi Swanson on hole 5, and Mantel on hole 18.
