The RMGC Board of Directors will show off its new equipment shed and BBQ grill to its membership on Saturday, August 4th at 1:00PM. All RMGC members are invited to attend at no cost.
New members are being individually invited, this will provide a great opportunity for them to meet the individual Directors. This opportunity will provide them with one on one time with Directors and become familiar with all the different opportunities for both golf events, normal golf games sponsored by the club and the socialization opportunities the club provides. RMGC wants to let them know that our club is an inclusive vice exclusive club. We want input from our new members so that we can better serve them.
The lunch will be held in the picnic grounds alongside the Dollar Ranch House Patio. However, sign up is required to allow for a head count for the purchase of food and drinks. A sign up sheet will be posted in the RMGC bulletin board area starting on Thursday, July 24th. Sign up deadline is Thursday, Aug 2nd at 12PM. If a member is playing in the Saturday SNAFU game sign up is not required as all players from that game will be automatically included in the head count.
The old RMGC equipment shed was destroyed along with very serious damage to the adjacent bathrooms behind the 17th green on the Dollar Ranch course in a heavy wind storm in 2017. The wind storm felled a large tree which took out the shed and most of the bathroom building. The Board of Directors want to thank Dickie Nitta for his hard work in soliciting sponsors for our Annual Invitational Golf Tournaments and Chuck Moran for being the Tournament chair in both 2017 and 2018. Also the Board wants to thank Al Campassi for his help in the arrangement with Alamo Ace Hardware that the RMGC has truly benefitted. The hard work of these three individuals culminated in acquiring Alamo ACE Hardware as a sponsor for the 2018 Invitational Tournament. Part of the sponsorship package was negotiated to include Alamo Ace Hardware presenting the RMGC with a voucher that would cover the cost of an equipment shed. RMGC President Fred Sun and Food and Beverage Director Bryan Burnett then negotiated with Alamo ACE Hardware to not only get a replacement shed but to get an extremely good deal on a new BBQ grill for the club.
The RMGC Board of Directors hopes a large portion of our membership will take this opportunity to mingle and share in the camaraderie of the club.
