The outgoing Captain of the Rossmoor Women’s 18 Hole Golf Club, Dolores Poirier, presided over the annual holiday luncheon held at the Event Center on Thursday, December 4th. She thanked the 2014 board members and announced the new board officers for 2015.
Those officers are:
Olivia Hsueh-Captain, Betty Cuniberti-Co-Captain, Linda Scheffer and Betty Bowles-Secretary, and Sil Jung-Treasurer. She also thanked all of the golf pros for their support of the club’s activities this last year, especially Mark Heptig and Wayne Weckerlin.
Carole Geoghagen announced the winners of the pins from the WNCGA (Women’s Northern California
Golf Association). Those winners are: First flight-Janet Choi, Second flight-Juna Lee, Third flight-Mitzi Weinberg, and Fourth flight-Dorothy Mizono.
Pat Taylor announced the most improved player award. It went to Claudia Terry who improved so much this year that she came in second in the club championship.
While there are no organized tournaments or events for the club on Thursdays for the remainder of this year and January and February of next year, members should call the pro shop to make their own tee time reservations for Thursdays until tournaments return in March of 2015.
There will be an event in February 2015 which will provide information to members of upcoming club activities for 2015. Members are encouraged to check the Rossmoor Golf website
at http://www.thegolfclubsatrossmoor.org/index.html for current golf information and upcoming events.
