The same group of intrepid golfers that showed up for and finished the final tournament of the year last year did the same this year in the Rossmoor Womens 18 Hole Golf Club Turkey Shoot. They faced similar wet and foggy conditions as last year.
Here are the results:
First Flight, lst low net- Janet Choi, 2nd low net – Grace Nitta, 3rd low net – Agnes Shin.
Second Flight, lst low net – Aileen Choi, 2nd low net – Betty Cuniberti and 3rd low net – Peg Yamada
Third Flight, lst low net – Teddi Swanson (only member of flight to complete round).
There were no chip-ins in this tournament, but there were several birdies: Janet Choi and Aileen Choi on hole 2, Margo Dutton on hole 13 and Grace Nitta on hole 18.
The last event of season for the club membership is the annual holiday luncheon to be held on December 4 at the Event Center.
While there are no organized tournaments or events for the club on Thursdays for the remainder of this year, members should call the pro shop to make their own tee time reservations for Thursday’s until tournaments return in early 2015. Members are encouraged to check the Rossmoor Golf website
