While the lady professional golfers had a fog delay for the start of their tournament across the bay at Lake Merced Golf Club our lady amateurs, the 18’ers of Rossmoor, had no delays in their final tournament of April last Thursday at the beautiful Dollar Ranch Course at Rossmoor.
This tournament was a low net competition and there were four flights.
The winner in the first flight was Sil Jung. Agnes Shin and Claudia Terry tied for second.
In the second flight Nancy Park and Karin Romak tied for first. Margo Dutton was second.
In the third flight Garnet Shelly was first, Pil Choo, second and Rosalie Devlin, third.
And finally, in the fourth flight first place went to Barbara Crane. Terri Lapierre, Joan Baggett and Illene Colby tied for second.
Birdies were scored by Rosalie Devlin on hole 7, Gail Ramirez on hole 10 and Margo Dutton on hole 11. Chip-ins were made by Inger Bjornsson on hole 2, Joan Baggett on hole 10 and Shim Kim on hole 13. Tomorrow is the Spring Fling where teams are composed of Niners and 18ers.
For the three succeeding weeks thereafter, the 18ers handicap tournament will be held. Please sign up by May 6th if you want to compete in this match play tournament.
