The fashion show put on by Mark Heptig during lunch was a great success and there was a raffle with many golf-related items as well as some half-hour lessons with the pros given as prizes. These events take a lot of planning on the part of many volunteers. The 18ers wish to thank the following members (and some spouses) for their contributions and service to the event: Rebecca Palomo for contributing the goodie bags for all participants; Denise Pratt and Marsha Jennings for their cheerful checking-in of players; Jean Wright and Lee Shaffer for handing out goodie bags; Linda Ingalls, Toni Snyder and Daisy Soo Hoo for decorating the Event Center; Pat McSween and Niner Char Gonzalez for selling raffle tickets; Mirna Wong for selecting raffle prizes; Robin Moreau for organizing the models for the fashion show; James Soo Hoo and Bernie Podberesky for bartending with flair; Lana Yagle and her team extraordinaire of Stella Chan and Maryhelen Greaves and Donna Wagner for arranging a wonderful Mexican catered meal from La Tapatia; Mary Jane Kiefer and McSween for calling out raffle winners and distributing prizes; Laura Kim and MJ Kidd for setting up Golf Genius registration for the event; and finally Daisy Soo Hoo, Yagle, Wagner and the clean-up crew. Much appreciation always to Heptig and Jacque Vigil and Wayne Weckerlin from the pro shop for running the tournament and tabulating the results.
