The Blue and White tournament is a longstanding 18ers match play tournament where participants are assigned to either the Blue team or the White team. Two White team ladies play a best-ball match against two Blue team ladies for points, very similar to regular team play. Those assigned White, wear white golf clothes, and those assigned Blue, wear blue. At the end of the day all points are added, and the winning team with the highest points earned, are treated to lunch by the losing team. Although some Blue teams were outstanding, the White team managed to take the overall win and enjoyed the “free lunch.” Hotdogs with all the fixings are the traditional meal, and thank you goes to the dutiful husbands, Rob Ingalls and Bernie Podberesky, who grilled the dogs, and to Jacque Vigil, who hand-tallied the score cards.
Aisoon Hong had a chip-in on hole 12.
Birdies were scored by Sue Yoon, hole 1, Grace Nitta hole 2, Theresa Kim hole 8, Joyce McCann hole 13, Margo Dutton hole 14, Joanne Kim and Claudia Terry hole 16.
