Happy Hackers is a golf group suited to those who enjoy the fun of playing golf, like to play golf but are new to the game, and enjoy meeting new people. Happy Hackers is a co-ed golf group and the only group that does not require a handicap. Membership is open to all Rossmoor residents and golfers of all playing abilities.
Happy Hackers begins the 2021 season with two scrambles scheduled Saturdays, March 20 and March 27. This year Happy Hackers will host two scrambles per month. When group gatherings are permitted, monthly golf clinics and after play dinners with prizes will be held. The golf clinics are conducted by the Pro Shop staff exclusively for Happy Hackers members. Chipping, putting, pitching, and full swing clinics are offered at a reduced rate.
Also new this year is the Happy Hackers web site at www.rossmoorgolf.com. The Happy Hackers schedule, scramble dates, and scramble results as well as membership information are posted on the website.
The Happy Hackers Golf Group is an active member of the Rossmoor Community. In 2020, donations on behalf of Happy Hackers members were given to the Hospice of the East Bay, the Rossmoor Fund, and the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop donation was designated for trees to be planted on the nine-hole course.
