THE ROSSMOOR MEN'S GOLF CLUB

Stroke Play Championship

Stroke Play Championship, Directors Cup Net Championship, Individual 2-Day Flighted Tournament.
Stroke Play Championship determines the overall Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club Champion golfer of the year. To be eligible, a player must have played in at least 3 RMGC events in the year prior to the event. The winner has his name engraved on the Championship Trophy and receives a personal prize awarded by the RMGC. The format for the game is: all contestants play in the Championship Flight from the blue tees, using gross scores, with the ball down and all USGA rules in play. The low cumulative score of this 2-day event will determine the winner.
Directors Cup Net Championship determines the overall Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club Net Champion golfer of the year. The winner has his name engraved on the Directors Cup and receives a personal prize awarded by the RMGC. The format for the game is: all contestants play in the First Flight from the white tees, using net scores, with the ball down and all USGA rules in play. The low cumulative score of this 2-day event will determine the winner.
Individual 2-Day Flighted Tournament is an individual net score, flighted event that runs simultaneously with the Stroke Play and Directors Cup. Winners will receive a personal prize awarded by the RMGC. Contestants can play from a tee choice consistent with their handicap. Tee choices are gold, red-gold combo, and red. (Note: the white-red combo tees will not be used.) A 6” bump will be allowed. All other USGA rules are in play. The Pro Shop will determine the flights for this tournament. The low cumulative score in each flight of this 2-day event will determine the winners.Payouts for all winners will be determined by the pro shop in consultation with the RMGC tournament committee.
Purse prizes will be in Pro Shop Credits. The first day for all three events is on a Saturday with no after-golf planned event. The second day is the following Wednesday with a planned Event Center Lunch and awards ceremony. Join us for a thrilling weekend of competition camaraderie and celebration as we crown our champions and create unforgettable memories on the greens of Rossmoor Golf Clubs.
