Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club Travels to Seaside, CA
On June 12, RMGC along with Castlewood, Del Rio and Orinda Country Clubs played an ‘away’ event at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, CA. This was RMGC’s first home-away arrangement with Bayonet. Weather was overcast and cold all day, with those dressing in layers being very thankful. Course was in wonderful condition, although ocean views were obscured with cloud cover.
Foursomes were formed from members of the various clubs, playing in a two- better ball format. Greg Gould (gross score 86) and Bradford Smith (gross score 89) were on the winning teams in their separate flights. Also in the money were Richard Cirina and Bryan Burnett in second place and Matt Dunn in third place.
Bayonet’s Home-Away Captains were great hosts, providing discounted green fees, range balls, drinks, seafood dinner and prizes. RMGC moves on to the Berkeley CC on June 26 and Richmond CC on June 27.
