The Rossmoor Team Match Play (12 Man) squad traveled to Moraga Country Club on Aug 15th. It was a hot summer afternoon in their valley and the team gave it a fine effort despite not being able to field a full 12 man team (only 10 players) and the course difficulty. Rossmoor was not able to win BUT we presented an honorable effort with a final match score of Moraga 27 – Rossmoor 9.
Participants were Terry Dawkins, Brent Atkins, Curtis Mitchell, Tom Snyder, Jack Meng, Chuck Moran, John McDonnell, Jim Pingatore, Dan Gonzalez and Lorin Anderson.
Individual match point winners were: Curtis Mitchell, Tom Snyder and Chuck Moran for 6 points.
Team match point winners were: Terry Dawkins/Brent Atkins and Curtis Mitchell/Tom Snyder for 3 points.
Not fielding a full team directly impacted the overall match score by six points Rossmoor handed to Moraga and eventually will probably impact our the POD standings.
It has been an exciting season for Rossmoor – as usual. Final results will be out shortly.
