RMGC Announces

The Rossmoor Men’s Golf Club has scheduled their 2020 Stroke Play Championship/Director’s Cup Competition as 36-hole events on the Dollar Ranch Course. Each event is designated as a Trophy Tournament and the trophies are perpetually displayed in the Creekside Trophy Case. It will start on Saturday, Oct. 17 and conclude on Wednesday, Oct. 21 .

The Stroke Play Championship is a Scratch Event played from the Blue Tees. The ball is to played as it lies and all strokes are counted until the Ball is holed out. The Low Gross Total winner is awarded the Stroke Play Trophy and presented a Green Jacket at the annual Men’s Club dinner.

The Director’s Cup Competition is a Handicap/Best Net Ball Event. Players may select the White, Combo or Gold Tees when registering and will be separated into flights based on their handicap index. The Director’s Cup Trophy is awarded to the player with Best Net Ball score encompassing all flights and prizes are awarded to each flight winner. The ball may be lift, cleaned and placed within 6 inches of its original position. All strokes are counted until the Ball is holed.

The first day of the competition on Saturday, 10/17 commences with Tee Times beginning at 8:30 am. The final round on Wednesday, 10/21 commences with Tee times beginning at 8:30 am.

The entry fee is $15.00 per player.

Entries will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 14. No refunds for cancellations will be made after10/14.
