The Rossmoor 18ers played the Blue and White tournament on July 12. Forty two members were paired by the golf shop with ladies having similar handicaps. They were divided into two teams. Two blue team members played against two white team members. The blue team had a winning score of 110 points and the white team had a score of 88 points. The white team treated the blue team to a hot dog lunch.
Birdies were made by Joyce McCann on hole 11 and Janice Davis on hole 15.
Chip-ins were made by Linda Ingalls on hole 7 and Daisy Soo Hoo on hole 11.
Following lunch Captain Joan Munn chaired a general meeting.
Members voted on the amendment to allow Rossmoor Niners to join the Rossmoor 18ers and the amendment was not passed. Robin Moreau, East Bay Team Captain, reported that the team is currently in seventh place for gross score and eighth place for net score. There are seven tournaments remaining on the schedule. Pil Choo, Guest Day Chair, encouraged members to invite friends to the August 2nd Guest Day tournament. Marian Handy, Treasurer, reported that the budget for the year is on target. Marcia Belcher, Tournament Chair, reminded members of pace of play, keeping accurate scorecards and etiquette on the golf course. Denise Pratt, Co-Captain, advised that schedules will be set for 2019 soon. She asked members to volunteer for board positions. Joyce McCann, Rules Chair, has scheduled 2019 Rules seminar for February 25th. There will be many new rules for 2019.
