A field of 64 players enjoyed a beautiful day for the 18ers first guest day held on Thursday, May 10.  The day started with breakfast at Creekside Grill and time for practice before the shotgun start.  The group enjoyed a Mexican style lunch served by Creekside in the Event Center after the round.
 
The format was two net best ball of four-person team and there were three flights.  Following are the results:
 
First Flight:  1st place:  Claudia Terry, Laura Kim, Nancy Lisiak, Joyce McCann with a net score of 121; 2nd place (ties were broken on the last nine holes for second and third place):  Joan Munn, Patrice Dennis, Ruth Weimann, Nancy Hedglen net 129; 
3rd place:  Mary Kiefer, Carol Massier, Leslie Marr, Elizabeth Riddle net 129. 
 
Second Flight:  1st place:  Laura Lippow, Bari Mantel, Robin Moreau, Lorraine Weisenberg with a net score of 124; 2nd place:  Denise Pratt, Pat Deisem, Jackie Crabaugh, Carol Cavagnaro net 126; 3rd place:  Chun Kim, Beverley Friend, Ga Wang, Kay Doyle net 131
 
Third Flight:  (ties were broken on the last nine holes for first and second place):  Peggy Yamada, Helen Chung, Beverly Meinbress, Lauren Artress with a net score of 124; 2nd place:  Janet Tong, Yuko Tsang, Ruby Caffrey, Alice Chong net 124, 3rd place:  Donna Rhodes, 
Carolin Pezzola, Dorothy Cvietusa, Marian King net 131
 
Golf balls were given as prizes to the flight winners.
 
Closest to the pin hole number 2 :Ga Wang (guest) 20”, Peggy Yamada (resident) 14’ 2”; hole number 16: Ruth Weinman (guest) 5’7”, Joyce McCann (resident) 10’4”.  Winners received cash prizes.
 
Closest to the line hole number 13: Melinda Hall (guest) one inch to the line.  Melinda was awarded a cash prize.
