Forty-seven Rossmoor Women’s 18ers showed up to play on April 20 for an individual Stableford game where points were given for net bogeys, net pars, net birdies and eagles. Unlike in stroke play, where players want the lowest score, the goal in Stableford scoring is to have the highest score. First place winners won $7, second place $6, third place $5 and fourth place $4.

Because of recent aerification of the greens on the Dollar course, a two-putt maximum was applied on all 18 holes, which made for a speedier round and likely better scores than normally would be shot in such conditions. The scores were not posted as a result of the two-putt format.

First flight winners were Joanne Kim in first place with a total of 41 points, Joyce McCann second place with 40 points, Karyl Toms third place with 39 points and Theresa Kim fourth place with 38 points.

Second flight winners were Nancy Park in first place with 39 points, Sophia Kim second place also with 39 points, Lynda Pritchett third place with 37 points and Okey Ro fourth place with 36 points.

Third flight winners were Anna Kim in first place with 41 points, Xuemei Reinhart second place with 39 points, Peggy Yamada third place with 37 points and Juna Lee fourth place also with 37 points.

Fourth flight winners were Il Sook Cho in first place with 35 points, Pil Choo second place with 34 points, Joanne Brennan third place with 31 points and Sandy Forschler fourth place with 29 points.

Birdies were shot by Joanne Kim on hole 4, Joyce McCann and Daisy Soo Hoo and Karyl Toms on hole 16. Karyl Toms also shot a birdie on hole 13. The one and only chip-in was shot by Okey Ro on hole 13.
