The Dollar Ranch Golf Course was converted to a par three course for the Rossmoor 18ers golfers on October 1st. The game was Stableford scoring based on net scores:   one point for a bogey, two points for a par, three points for a birdie and four points for an eagle or better. The biggest challenge of the day was to find the converted tee boxes.  Players had to carefully follow the par three course guide for the tee box locations and yardage.  The longest hole was marked at 150 yards and the shortest hole was only 55 yards.  Some of the hardest holes to find were:  hole 13 placed on the 9th hole rough for a tight 80-yard shot over trees and sand bunkers; hole 15 placed in the hole 17 fairway for a 90-yard shot again over trees to the green.

Here are the results:

1st Flight winners: 1st place Claudia Terry 42 points, 2nd place Agnes Shin 39, and 3rd place Grace Nitta 36.

2nd Flight winners: 1st place Linda Ingalls 35 points, 2nd place Peggy Yamada 34 (won tie breaker), and Denise Pratt 34
3rd Flight winners: 1st place Anna Kim 39 points, Joan Weinstein 37, and Robin Moreau 35.

Chip-ins were made by: Esta Poderesky on hole one and Joan Weinstein on hole 15.

18ers enjoyed a beautiful weather and the challenging offbeat format.

Thanks to the pro shop staff for changing the tee box locations for the fun outing.
