On Thursday, Nov. 2, 51 Rossmoor Women’s 18ers came out to play a Nassau tournament in beautiful fall weather. Nassau is a low net game with winners on the front nine, the back nine and the overall low net for 18 holes.
Flight winners were as follows: First Flight first place front nine, Mae Marcotte with a net 37; first place back nine, Jayoung Lee, also with a net 37; first place overall, Claudia Terry with a net 72.
Second flight first place front nine, Judith Coleman-Cohen with a net 34; first place back nine, Laura Kim with a net 31, the lowest net score out of the entire field for nine holes; first place overall, Agnes Shin with a net 72.
Third flight first place front nine, Esta Podberesky with a net 35; first place back nine, Gail Ramirez with a net 36; first place overall, Xuemei Reinhart with a net 74.
Fourth flight first place front nine, Bari Mantel with a net 39; first place back nine, Joanne Brennan with a net 36; first place overall, Sarah Ko with a net 73.
Chip-ins were shot by Mantel on hole 2, Okey Ro on hole 6, Terry on holes 8 and 10 and Grace Nitta on hole 11.
Birdies were shot by Joan Binnings on hole 2, Joyce McCann and Karyl Toms on hole 4, Terry on hole 10, Theresa Kim, Binnings, Shin and Lee on hole 16.
