The 18ers played with Mutt and Jeff last Thursday during their weekly tournament; Mutt, being a three-par hole and Jeff, being a five-par. The player, nicknamed “Sally,” during the round, had to use her score on the three pars and the five pars.  Three and five pars are, arguably, the most challenging of golf holes, with the three pars requiring great accuracy and the five pars, needing distance. After totaling the net scores on these ten holes, “Sally” was allowed to subtract the score of the worst hole, and the resulting net became the tournament score. Players always appreciate when they may “erase” a score. Seldom does a person play 18 holes without at least one hole they’d like to forget.

During this day’s event, chip-ins were enjoyed by Lynda Pritchett, hole one, and Claudia Terry on hole ten. Birdies were achieved by Jayoung Lee, hole two, Claudia Terry, hole’s eight and ten, and Sue Yoon, hole eighteen.

The field was divided into three flights and payouts were as follows.

First place $6; Second place $5; Third place $4; Fourth place $3; Fifth place, $2;  Sixth place, $1.

Here are the complete results: First flight, first place, Cindy Sonstelle, second place, Nancy Park, third, Mae Marcotte, fourth, Joan Munn, fifth, Joan Binnings, sixth, Judy Moran.
