The 18ers Classic Tournament was held on August 1st and August 8th. A field of thirty four members participated in the event. The game was a two person team stroke play with one net best ball of the team against the other team’s net best ball.
After the second round, players gathered in the Creekside Fairway room for lunch and were welcomed by Teddi Swanson, Classic Tournament Chair.
Brent Mulanax, golf professional, worked on the score tabulations and announced the winners.
The best overall two day net score of 128 was shot by Agnes Shin and Gail Ramirez.
Flight winners:
First flight: first place Theresa Kim and Joan Baggett net 130; second place Peggy Yamada and Daisy Soo Hoo net 131; third place Sue Yoon and Juna Lee net 139.
Second flight: first place Laura Kim and Linda Ingalls tied with Shin Kim and Nancy Park net 138; third place Marian Handy and Teddi Swanson net 140.
Third flight: first place Kathleen Young and Patricia Taylor net 133; second place Pat Deisem and Karin Romak net 134; third place Marcia Belcher and Ja Young Lee and Garnet Shelly and Esta Podberesky tied net 146.
First week birdies were shot by: Gail Ramirez hole number thirteen and Janet Choi, Del Poirier on hole 14.
First week chip-ins were made by: Laura Kim holes one and three, Theresa Kim hole eleven, Del Poirier hole fourteen.
Second week birdies were shot by: Joanne Kim hole one, Marian Handy hole two, Joanne Brennan hole twelve, Laura Kim hole thirteen, Sue Yoon Hole seventeen.
Second week chip-ins were by by: Lana Yagle hole seven, Peggy Yamada hole fifteen, Sue Yoon hole seventeen.
