Claudia Terry had a hole-in-one on Sunday, August 28, during an equally impressive round of 78. It happened early in the round on hole 4, using her Ping 5 iron to a white flag, at 138 yards. This is her fourth ace and the second one in 2022 as she scored an ace on hole 10 this past May, while playing with her usual Sunday foursome. This hole-in-one was witnessed by Sally Tomlinson, Joyce McCann and Joan Binnings and after the round Claudia celebrated with Joyce and Joan and husbands Clem Binnings and Don Terry.

Her first exposure to golf happened in 1991, when her boyfriend at the time, Don, bought her clubs and golf lessons at Tilden Golf Course. She played occasionally and struggled for years to break 100. It got serious in 2006 when she moved here with now husband, Don. Although  underage at the time (a mere 49 years old), she quickly adapted to the lifestyle at Rossmoor and fell in love with the many activities here, especially golf. Claudia continues to work at a “real job” as a scopist, (editing legal transcripts) but takes every opportunity to play golf with the 18ers, compete on the East Bay Team Play league and has served on the 18ers Board of Directors in various capacities for over ten years.

Congratulations to Claudia.
