On April 25, Rossmoor 18ers participated in East Bay Team Play (EBTP) at Richmond Golf Club in a match against Blackhawk Country Club. Judy Moran, Daisy Soo, Andrea Alpine, Linda Ingalls, Cindy Sonstelie and Pat McSween represented Rossmoor in the four-ball Match Play.
One of the oldest courses in the Bay Area, Richmond was the first club to invite African Americans to play in professional tournaments. With views of San Francisco and several bridges including the Golden Gate, the Richmond course offers a well maintained, yet challenging round of golf with a dramatic backdrop. Overcast skies during the round gave way to sun on the back nine enhancing the water views.
Rossmoor scored 23 Gross Points and 24.5 Net Points, Blackhawk scored 31 Gross Points and 29.5 Net Points. Congratulations to the Rossmoor team for scoring lots of good points.
