The holiday season has arrived and this year the 18ers holiday party planning committee is holding nothing back. The event, to be held on Wednesday, December 7, in the Donner Room of the Event Center, will be filled with glitter and glam and promises to be one that will be remembered fondly. The committee of MaryAnn Higgins and MaryJo Leary have spent months planning the event with entertainment and surprises.

Upon arrival at 4:30 p.m., attendees will be treated to soft holiday music performed by a string quartet, while they mix and mingle, and celebrate friendships, new and old. Women can enjoy the many memorabilia  albums on display, which have pictures from various club activities, recorded through the years.  At 5:00 p.m. will be the presentation and installation of the newly elected 2023 Board. That will be followed by the announcement of the most improved player for the year; a tightly held secret. The most improved is the woman who has played at least ten times with the 18ers and lowered her index by the largest margin. She receives a commemorative certificate and monetary award.

Outgoing captain, Daisy Soo Hoo, will give a brief year end report of the happenings during her term. This has been a big year for transition and process improvement and the club owes a great deal of gratitude to Daisy and her hard working board. The event is intended to be festive and active with music, hearty appetizers and mocktails (non-alcoholic beverages) and cocktails. All women 18ers are encouraged to attend and celebrate the end of 2022 and welcome 2023. Dress is festive holiday attire. RSVP using the golf genius app, https://18ers.golfgenius.com., by November 29. The cost is $40.00 per person.
