One of the biggest productions the Women’s 18-Hole Golf Club puts on every season is the Invitational. In 2022 and 2023, the event was expanded to a day and a half, with a Wednesday afternoon putting contest as well as a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party preceding the Thursday tournament. This popular format will be continued this year with a day-and-a-half production and with the theme being Rossmoor Goes to the Olympics.
These gala events take a lot of planning by volunteers who put significant time and effort into various aspects of the program such as choosing the breakfast and lunch menu items and coordinating with the caterers, buying tee prizes and other assorted goodie bag gifts for participants, decorating the Event Center tables for the luncheon and awards presentation, organizing with the men’s club ambassadors who help with bringing visitors’ golf bags from their cars to the golf cart staging area, and a multitude of other tasks that need to be done to ensure everyone feels welcome and has a good time at our golf course.
One of the most important parts of putting on an invitational is finding sponsors to help fund the elaborate event. This year the Women’s 18ers wishes to thank our very generous sponsors who contributed a minimum of $500 each. Without this support, the Invitational would not be anywhere near as much fun as it always is.
Many thanks go to this year’s sponsors: Dearborn & Associates, Custom Exteriors, Dr Julia Lee,
VIP Cart Service, Lexus of Pleasanton, Atria, Xfinity/Comcast, Rossmoor Realty, and Elder First, LLC.
