Thursday, March 5th, was a beautiful day to start the Rossmoor Women’s 18’ers Golf Club tournament schedule for the year. Unlike last year, when the mixer tournament had to be cancelled due to inclement weather, this years mixer took place under beautiful blue skies and balmy temperatures.
Foursomes were composed of members selected by the pro shop staff, who obviously did an outstanding job in matching the competition as many ties had to broken with back nine and, in some cases, front nine results.
After those exacting calculations, the results are as follows:
1st Place – Team of Joan Baggett, Marcia Belcher, Janet Choi, and Jane Lee.
2nd Place – Team of Aileen Choi, Pil Choo, Linda Ingels, and Shin Kim.
3rd Place – Team of Young Sun Bai, Sue Fleck, Joanne Kim, and Theresa Kim.
4th Place – Team of Sil Jung, Gisela Hendrickson, Mary Hufford, and Pat Taylor.
Chip-ins were made by Margo Dutton on hole 3, Agnes Shin on hole 7, and Aster Yamagata on hole 11. There were five birdies the details of which will appear in a later edition.
Afterwards a general meeting of the club with lunch was held at Creekside.
