18ers’ Plan Tournaments,
Events for 2016
The 18ers will be kicking off the new season with a 6-6-6 tournament on March 3. This will be a Member Mixer to help new members get acquainted with long-time members. Four person teams will be formed with the objective to have old and new members in each foursome.
The format will be 6-6-6. The teams of four will play three different formats in three sequences. Scoring will be 1 best ball on six holes, 2 best balls on six holes and 3 best balls on six holes.
On March 10 players will compete for low net in Charm Girl; on March 17 the ladies will be “Going for the Green;” and March 24th will be the first round of the Eclectic which continues with five other “ec†rounds throughout the year.
There is a sign-up binder in the Pro-shop with descriptions of each week’s tournament format. Sign-up sheets are usually available about 3-4 weeks in advance so the ladies have a “heads up” on the format. Players can make-up their own group or find a slot with other players.
Throughout the season players are encouraged to sign up with new members, eighteen so far in 2016. A main objective is to continue to form new friendships through this great game of golf.
