Launch the Season Event and General Meeting
The Women’s 18-Hole Golf Club will kick off the season with the Annual Launch Party on Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. in the Event Center. All members are invited to attend the luncheon and enjoy the opportunity to get together with their golfing friends and meet new members who have joined the club. A general meeting will be held during the event to vote on the updated bylaws and to discuss the upcoming season’s club activities.
Tables will be set up around the room with information about the various club functions, tournaments, team play, and special events planned for the new season.
Members should come prepared to sign up for the Birdie Board ($4) and the Eclectic Tournament ($4).
Both Diablo Valley Team Play and East Bay Team Play schedules will be available for sign-up. Team Play matches give Rossmoor 18ers a chance to test their skills against other local teams at several beautiful country clubs in the East Bay area.
There will also be information available regarding Open Days, New Rules, and Membership in the club. Members of the new Handicap Committee will be on hand to demonstrate how to download the GHIN app onto a mobile device for those who wish to post golf scores on their phones.
The Launch Party gives old and new members a chance to meet and mingle and to become excited about all the great events the club has scheduled for 2017.
There is a charge for lunch of $10 and reservations are required. Please place a check for $10 made out to Rossmoor 18ers in an envelope labeled “Launch Party” and include your name on the envelope, which should be placed in the 18ers drawer in the Pro Shop no later than Sunday, Feb. 5.
